Rendering the Superior Street corridor redesign offered a unique learning experience.

I collaborated with traffic engineers to create accurate street corridor graphics for the Ohio Department of Transportation.

I completed this project independently during my 2024 Summer internship. The department's graphic lead had taken time off and the Toledo office needed to finalize its design package prior to her return. It was the first project which I held full responsibility for. I credit my experience in the construction and engineering industries for my basic understanding of the civil design and communication between engineers, which proved crucial to successfully creating a final product on time.

Design Renderings

I used civil linework, traffic study information, and verbal communication with the project engineer, Steven Way, to render accurate graphics for the corridor.

A keystone finding of the operational traffic study was the circulation improvements possible with an alternative parent  drop-off to the Rossford Public High School.

Reflections

This was my favorite assignment during my time at Fishbeck. I enjoyed working on a design which emphasized technical details, research and interdisciplinary communication. I find great professional fulfillment in providing crucial value to a greater cause.
